Kratom is a relatively unknown substance in the developed world. For this reason, not much research has been performed on the plant. Which is unfortunate, because I believe there is magic hidden within this plant, and that academic study could yield tons of benefits.
Because it isn’t very well known, mainstream companies and popular ecommerce sites like Amazon and GNC don’t sell kratom, making it relatively difficult to find if you don’t know where to look.
Instead, tons of kratom vendors have appeared online — some large, reputable vendors
That brings us to the point of this article: Finding a high quality vendor of kratom. But not just high-quality — I’m looking for the best. That is, out of all the vendors I’ve found, I’m looking for the one that has the highest quality kratom, outstanding customer service, and excellent pricing.
In other words, taking all these factors into account, which online kratom vendor is the best?
My Search for the Best Place to Buy Kratom Online
I should mentioned that I limit my search to vendors who sell kratom online. The primary reason is because I know my readers live all over the country, and telling them that the top kratom vendor is a boutique head shop in Springfield, Missouri wouldn’t be fair to a blog reader from Oregon.
Another reason I buy from online sources is because the pricing is so much better. Head shops tend to markup prices by an incredible amount — and usually they buy kratom from the same sources I recommend here! Paying 300% more money for the exact same product? No, thank you.
But I digress. Let’s return again to the task at hand — buying the best kratom we possibly can!
Every few months or so I scan the crowd of reputable online kratom vendors, trying to find the best vendor among them. It’s not always easy, and sometimes there’s fierce competition, but still I weed out the stores not at a certain standard and quality, and select a winner out of the lot. The winner then becomes my personal kratom source during that time.
So this page then becomes my currently recommended kratom vendor.
My Top Kratom Vendor Pick
Coastline Kratom is an excellent online kratom vendor that has been in the game for a long time. They have a great reputation of selling high quality kratom at good prices.
They have a very solid selection of strains. On top of this, they have several bundles, or “combo packs”, that are great for beginners who don’t have a favorite type yet. A fan favorite is the Beginner’s Pack, which has samples of their most popular strains.
They usually have discounts going on to save you money, and to cap it all off, their customer service is very responsive and helpful. Coastline Kratom is the best kratom vendor I have come across. I’m really glad I found them and that I can recommend them to you as my top vendor pick.
Here are some of my favorite products:
Okay, you know my top pick and some of my personal favorite products. Now let’s go over kratom a little bit (because I find it so exciting) and
Kratom Vendor Guide
In the last year or so, tons of kratom vendors have appeared. While some are fantastic, with a great product and even better customer service, others are absolutely horrendous.
We’re going to go over finding high quality kratom, what makes a good kratom vendor and how to spot one, and talk about how to get the best bang for your buck in terms of deals.
Let’s get started.
What is Kratom?
Kratom is a plant that grows natively in parts of Asia.
There are tons of benefits buried within this plant, both known and unknown, and the fascination around it alone warrants further research.
Types of Kratom
While the different variations, strands, colors, differences, will be argued endlessly by kratom enthusiasts, the fact is that different types of kratom do exist in the marketplace, which is why you should learn a little bit about them, so that you can approach these online kratom shops as an informed buyer (or at very least avoid buying the wrong type).
Different Kinds of Sellers
As you navigate the online vendor marketplace, you’ll probably come to find that a few different kinds of kratom suppliers exist. Here are some I’ve noticed:
1. The Passionate Vendor
There are usually a few different kinds of sellers. The first is a kratom fanatic-turned-vendor, who has experienced kratom him or herself and now is someone who sells kratom to others, bringing knowledge and passion to the table. They are generally good vendors with high quality kratom, though some of them aren’t the cheapest. But with them I like to think you’re paying a little more for quality.
2. The Money Men
These are the vendors that spring up because they see demand for a product and they decide there is money to be made. Generally, they don’t know much about the product they decide to sell. I’ve found that probably half of them have reasonable pricing. Of that half, only maybe half of those are able to get decent-to-good quality kratom.
3. The Bandwagon Headshop
These are the shops that specialize in other kinds of goods — usually glass and related materials. They hear about kratom — probably shoppers have come up to them repeatedly asking if they sell kratom — so they start to stock kratom. Almost always they know close to nothing about kratom, which kratom is good and what is bad, and usually they charge sky-high prices for low-quality products. I try to avoid them at all costs.
For obvious reasons, I prefer the first type of kratom supplier.
First-timers (and sometimes even experienced users who are switching to a new vendor or changing strand) usually wonder how much kratom to take. However, a person’s dosage of kratom will depend on several factors, including the type of kratom used as well as his or her body composition and general tolerance to substances like kratom.
Regardless, it’s best to start off taking smaller dosages and slowly working your way up to your optimal dose. For many people, the “sweet spot” is between 2.5-5 grams.
If it’s your first time taking kratom, start small (at like 1.5-2 grams) and gradually work your way up in 500 mg increments until you hit your personal sweet spot. You’ll know when you hit it.
Potential Side Effects
Kratom users usually don’t experience any major side effects. However, due to many reasons, such as dosage mistakes and unfriendly interactions, some side effects can occur in some individuals.
Some of the most common side effects include:
- acid reflux
You can minimize the possibility of experiencing these negative side effects by not taking too much and not combining kratom with other things. If you experience any unpleasant side effect, especially anything more severe than mild, you should try to speak with a doctor.
Again, while not extensively studied in research-like settings, kratom is generally believed to be safe for healthy humans, especially those who interact safely with the plant.
Few cases of trouble have been documented, and those that have been brought to light usually (if not always) have involved another (or several other) substances in addition to kratom. It is not a good idea to combine kratom with other substances, as the plant’s interactions with other plants and medications is not known. As always, err on the safe side.
Kratom is currently in a sort of legal-limbo. It is currently unscheduled at the federal level, but some of the states have banned it. There was a huge uproar a little over a year ago when the DEA announced they were making it a schedule I substance. The kratom community united and fiercely protested the scheduling, and the DEA eventually backed down.
So it’s not currently banned in the United States, nor are there any plans to ban it. However, I’m sure governmental agencies are doing what they can to remove it from the population as quickly and effectively as they can.
My personal hope is that all the noise about the plant awakened tons of scientists to study it, so that we may learn more about it and of any potential uses/benefits before just blindly banning it with no scientific reasoning.
I suppose only time will tell.
Well, there you have it, folks — I gave you my opinion on who’s the best vendor to buy kratom from. I hope your experiences will be as bountiful and beneficial as mine have been.
