How Can We Help?
UCLA WorkShop Announcment
Rocky Mountain NeuroAdvantage is excited to provide a Beta Reset/Gamme Brainwave workshop at UCLA on December 9-12. Please download the informational brochure for more information.
Beta Reset
The "Beta Reset" protocol employs a paradoxical intervention paradigm unlike any traditional neurofeedback protocols you may have been trained in. Therefore, we are ethically obligated to collect some basic information from you regarding your experience as a neurofeedback practitioner and mental health professional. The protocol reliably produces precipitating trauma stories from clients, and you must be prepared to process and resolve those memories as they surface. It is recommended you avoid the use of this protocol if you do not feel competent in the area of trauma understanding and resolution.
However, we are seeking competent and experienced practitioners to participate in the data collection process that is currently on-going for the purpose of further investigating the efficacy of this protocol, its neural correlates, and its potential within the clinical setting. If you are interested in using this protocol, we will gladly mentor you in its use and provide consulting services to help you with your specific clients. (Contact our office to discuss the cost of the mentoring.) In return, we ask that you collect and report your data using our template.
Your information also allows you access to a variety of other resources:
- 1) Our "Brain Food" newsletter/blog which presents a variety of information and resources designed to enhance your neurofeedback practice. The blog allows you to dialog with other professionals on various topics of interest within the field.
- 2) Assessment tools such as the Quick Q (Swingle, 2004), automated Symptom Tracker (Burdick, 2008), and TLC Likert survey (Van Dussen, 2006).
- 3) Extensive annotated bibliography of over 500 relevant articles and book reviews.
- 4) Special pricing for on-site mentoring/experiencing immersion training weekends and workshops, webinars, and other training opportunities.
- 5) Research and discussion, products and information vital to the detoxification and rebuilding of the body as part of the recovery process for chronically ill clients.
